Twelve years and more ago, Lois Lane was a young, starry-eyed reporter, granted a once-in-a-lifetime exclusive by the newly-debuted Superman.

These days, both her father and father-in-law are dead; there's a city of Kryptonians up near the north pole; the aforementioned Superman is getting them settled into a new life; and her husband Clark Kent is 'helping his mother' after his father's death, which he was already barely coping with.

And someone, she doesn't know who, wants to murder him.
